Blog tasks: Daily Mirror case study

Representation:

1) Daily mirror supports the labour party.

2) The daily mirror represent rich and powerful people as unfair and selfish as they only care for the needs of the rich and wealthy.

3) The daily mirror represents celebrities as casual people and not people who are more worthy or more better than us their seen as having the same issues as the audience could possibly have.

4) The royal family are seen having family issues as normal siblings would argue and make up but in this instance the wives or girl friends to sort the issue.

5) The reason the Daily mirror represents celebrities as 'normal' is so they seem more approachable and the normal people can relate to them.

2) The Daily Mirror's circulation was 450,000 in 2020. But they used to sell over 3 million papers in 1990. 

3)The newspaper industry has struggled in the last 20 years because of the rise of digital news/media.

4) They have created a website called mirror.co.uk

They Created news based content which updates regularly.

5) Immediacy - has it happened recently? (Kate fixing a royal rift between wlliam and Harry)

Familiarity - is it culturally close to us in Britain? - the royal family are a big pat of Britain.
