Representation

1) The people in the posters are young teenagers men and women and seems to be set in the suburbs.

2) The stereotypes i can identify are youths wearing hoodies and having weapons and up to no good and it also mainly shows black people.

3) The preferred reading of this poster would be that their young people up to no good and trying to cause trouble.

4) The oppositional reading of this is that their struggling to live on what they have and trying at any extent to survive even if it means to bad.

Extension:

The poster suggest that British society youths are all violent and evil as they are demonised in this poster as you can see a boy holding a bat with a hoodie on which suggest he is not up to any good which clouds the actual good people of society. The poster also shows the stereotypical and racist view that every youth that does wrong are black as the poster has 4 black people out of the 6 people in the poster

Doctor Strange: blog tasks

1) The companies that made Doctor strange was Marvel.

2) A conglomerate ownership is were small independent companies make up a larger corporation. This links to Doctor as Disney owns so many smaller companies for different movie productions such as companies that specialise in stuff such as special effects.

3) The films are regulated by the British board of film classification.(BBFC)

4) It was a 12a as it was seen as moderate fantasy violence and detailed injuries.

5) Doctor strange was promoted in the traditional way of poster and teaser trailers, another way was film based websites with gallery and story synopsis and the third way was social media profiles such as : Instagram,Youtube and Twitter.

6) One way you could tell the film trailer was a blockbuster was the special effects as the colours are not dull and dark but bright and radiant which i belief would not be cheap and also another way was how detailed the graphics were.

7) The budget was $165 million and it grossed $700 million.

8) I believe Doctor strange was a successful movie as the main goal for film producers is to make as much profit as it can and which Doctor strange done so it can be considered a successful film.

I, Daniel Blake: blog tasks

1)Independent cinema is a cinema that produced outside of big studios with a small to medium budget. This is different to Hollywood as it is the complete opposite of what Hollywood cinema is as in Hollywood cinema studios are given massive budgets.

2)It is bout a 59 year old man who must rely on welfare after a heart attack which left him unable to work despite doctors saying his is fit for work. The film shows Daniel Blake work his way appealing for benefits and gains a strong bond with a single mother throughout the film.

3) The director of I, Daniel Blake is Ken Loach. This is important as Ken Loach has a strong thought of social issues as I, Daniel Blake depicts in the film.

4) One way I, Daniel Black was promoted was the hashtag that trended which was "We are all Daniel Blake" Another way the film was promoted was merchandise as they sold T shirts with the hashtag "We are all Daniel Blake"The third way was through the trinity mirror as they advertised the film which would increase potential viewers.

5) Secret cinema youth cinema which was aimed at first time voters before the 2017 elections there was also a food bank set up.

6)The estimated budget for I, Daniel Blake was £2 million. In total the filmed grossed £11 million.

7) Independent films like I, Daniel Blake could compete with Hollywood films like Doctor strange by thinking outside the box and create films that targets a niche audience and slowly build upon it but the targets could be niche audience with high amount of viewers such as an example Boyz in the hood this targets black Americans in the hood but has an overall moral to the story and shows the truth of what actually happens.

8) Overall i think I, Daniel Blake was a successful film as it an overall moral and shows the harsh reality that some people live in and the film made a massive profit compared to the budget it was given.
